Whether tackling the steeps of Iliad or cruising beginner runs like Poseiden or Castor, it is hard to miss Greek Peak’s playful theme. Almost all of the trails are named after figures from Greek mythology or Hellenic concepts. The resort’s name pays tribute to the Greco-Roman themed towns that dot the region.

Set amongst a series of large hills (as opposed to real mountains), the ski area provides surprisingly good skiing aided by a solid dose of lake-effect snowfall from nearby Lake Ontario. No – Greek Peak is a family-friendly resort is located in Central New York’s Fingerlakes Region. Legitimately steep expert terrain, deep snowfall, tree skiing and a resort with three separate mountain peaks in New York State? Surely such a resort must be in the Adirondacks, or at least the Catskills. Each ribbon symbolized something for their marriage. Certain members of their family and bridal party were called up during the ceremony to place a specific colored ribbon over their hands. They added a personal touch to their ceremony with a hand fasting ritual. After being a part of Kelsie and Chris’s wedding day I’m pretty sure it was one of the coolest things ever! I’m a big brunch person anyways but to have a morning ceremony followed by a buffet of pancakes, bacon, eggs, yogurt, and donuts for dessert, was the perfect way I could think of to spend my Sunday! I can’t tell you and the last time I photographed a brunch wedding. Then, they planned a big celebration where all of their friends and family came together for one big party to have the perfect brunch wedding! They said their vows to each other and sealed the deal near their home in Orlando, Florida. They decided to get married anyway and postponed their wedding celebration to the following September.

It was such an honor to photograph their wedding at the resort at Greek Peak! Partly because I was there when this all started and also because I just really like these two! I remember telling my second shooter, Nicole, that I had forgotten how much I really enjoyed Kelsie and Chris’s presence. Fast forward nine years and they finally celebrated their wedding day after getting married in 2020 in Florida, where they now live! He came to all of our games and always hung out with us! It wasn’t too long before he joined our crew that there was a little something happening between Kelsie and Chris. Kelsie and I were on the volleyball team and one of our other teammates had a really good friend named Chris. It all started in Binghamton, NY in 2012 at SUNY Broome.
